Braindead on October 5th, SUBVERT and Future Ruins flyers, distro update, zine excerpts, Post Fata Resurgo tour

As a nice little warm-up to the Subvert festival, we’re proud to announce that on Tuesday the 5th of October Hamburg’s ska-core export Braindead will be at The Plough in Easton, Bristol with Axis Of (Northern Irish melodo-punkers) and Primeval Soup (Brighton’s hottest, back for more) raising funds for the support of Jock Palfreeman, Australian anti-fascist jailed in Bulgaria who has an appeal upcoming. Flyer here.

The flyer is now online here for the mighty SUBVERT fest – we’ve had reports of friends coming from abroad for it already, so it should rule: tell your friends! Along with the Saturday punx picnic (location announced on the Friday and advertised in the window of Kebele social centre on the day) and gig on the 9th,  and the Sunday 10th vegan cafe and film night at Kebele (showing films about Russian anarchists and prison tattooing, cafe proceeds go to a Moscow anti-fascist on the run after an attempt on their life), there is also a vegan cafe and film night at The Factory squatted autonomous project on the Friday 8th showing “Behind the Screams” – a documentary made by and about Latino punks in the States – followed by an open discussion titled ‘More Than Music? – subculture and movement’ so come along and join in. Also here is a map of the locations used;

A = The Factory, 2-8 Cave Street, St Pauls, Bristol BS2 8RU (Friday cafe with film night and discussion); B = Kebele, 14 Robertson Road, Easton, Bristol BS5 6JY (Saturday breakfast, Sunday cafe and film night); C = The White Hart, Whitehall Road, Easton, Bristol BS5 9BJ (Saturday gig)

Even while you’re waiting for that happy weekend to come, there’s punking aplenty to do in the meanwhile: as well as the Plough gig mentioned above, we also have the flyer now online here for the Future Ruins gig so get down to The White Hart on Friday September 17th to catch them with local sludgey d-beaters Murder of Crows and dynamic international noise-rockers Belladonna in support of The Autonomist newsletter.

The stock list of Wretched Form record distribution is now updated, new EPs/LPs/CDs/tapes/pamphlets/magazines/books/DVDs/fanzines in now.

Speaking of fanzines, “Against & Beyond” is now back from the printers – copies are limited, look out for it at gigs or in distros. It now has it’s own page on this website, where some of the pages have been uploaded a PDFs, including the front cover and the contents page.

Look out soon for information on Wretched Form tour booking‘s January dates in the U.K for storming Rome crust-metal-punx Post Fata Resurgo!
